RealRyder cycling is different. Our indoor cycling program is different. Our bike is different. No other indoor bike has our “Ryde”! One of the questions we often receive is from our teachers and studio owners is “How do I find or make the elevation maps for class?”. We enlisted a few of our instructors to answer this question. After putting our heads together we came up with three great sources for inspiration.

Ryde it Real Tool #3: Use Your Favorites Races!
The major races, like the Tour de France, offer comprehensive imagery and profiles for each stage of the race. CYKL, a RealRyder studio in Canada, simulated the entire Tour de France last year, complete with leaderboards, jerseys, footage of the race, and of course celebratory champagne! Use the tools found on race websites to excite your class participants and offer them an experience they will never forget. Some of our favorites to get you started are the Tour de France, USA Cycling, and here in RealRyder country we have SoCal Cycling.
Tell us about your inspirations for riding indoors! A parting shot from CYKL in Canada, to get your creative juices flowing!
Ryde it real. Teach it real. It’s time to take the training wheels off!
This blog post will be the first entry in a series dedicated to RealRyder’s home customers. As you know we are always looking for feedback on what our customers think of our stationary bike. We would like to give you the reader a little more info as to who our customers are, what their backgrounds are, and what their experiences have been indoor cycling with the RealRyder stationary bike. So without further introduction here is Erik Schoen from Nevada’s story.
Erik Schoen on his RealRyder Stationary Bike
1.) How long have you owned the RealRyder? For about two months.
2.) How did you hear about our stationary bike? From a local home gym store but the video on the website sold us!
3.) Do you have a background in cycling, indoor cycling, fitness, group exercise, athletics, etc…? Both my wife and I are avid recreational cyclists (both mountain and road) and engage in a variety of other athletic pursuits including primarily rock climbing and skiing.
4.) Have you experienced any substantial weight loss or improved conditioning in your time with our stationary bike? Here is the kicker: After just two months of riding the RealRyder just twice a week, on the first outdoor ride this Spring I bested my best time for a favorite out-and-back and still had gas in the tank — and I wasn’t in bad shape last year (at least I didn’t think so)! I think the reasons for this are because of the RealRyders natural feel and its engagement of the core muscles.
5.) What can you tell us about your household’s typical schedule with the RealRyder? How many days per week do you ride, how long are the sessions, are there other people in the household regularly using the RealRyder, etc…? With our multiple athletic pursuits, my wife and I have been riding the RealRyder approximately twice a week, almost exclusively doing intervals training. My wife rides for about 30 minutes; I ride for about an hour.
6.) Is there anything you like to do while you ride? For example music playlists you listen to, videos you watch, T.V. shows etc…? With intervals training, I do best without distractions of any other kind including music, TV, or reading — I’ve got to focus on holding myself honest to the level of effort I need to give and that is easiest if I can concentrate. My wife, on the other hand, enjoys watching TV.
7.) Have you experienced any benefits from our bike that have carried over into other aspects of your life, activities, sports, relationships, etc…? In addition to those previously mentioned, other things we like about having the RealRyder include (1) we are saving money by being able to discontinue a gym membership, (2) we are saving time by having the bike immediately and easily accessible, (3) we are “riding” more frequently because the weather is no longer a reason not to ride, (4) it doesn’t take up much room in our house, and (5) it looks great!
8.) Any other comments you would like to make about the RealRyder?
Just that I LOVE the RealRyder! We like how natural it feels and how much it engages our core muscles when we ride. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for putting together such a great product. We have absolutely NO regrets for making the purchase.
There you have it, a very happy customer! Remember, although our stationary bike is commercial grade fitness equipment, built to stand the heavy use it will get in indoor cycling classes, we have a lot of home customers like Erik who have recognized the benefit of having their own RealRyder stationary bike. You can always get a great workout, regardless of time or weather!
Look out for more of this series and thanks to Erik for taking the time tell us why he loves his RealRyder! So if you are looking for a great piece of home fitness equipment, track down a RealRyder facility near you and try our stationary bike for yourself! Alternatively contact us directly at:-
